On the open AT Protocol, no single company hands out verification. Trusted community verifiers do and belgium-atmosphe.re is one of them.

What we check
The criteria are simple:
- The account is who they claim to be
- Verification is done by a credible organization, group or network that has the information needed to know that the account is who they claim to be
- We can verify our own accounts and staff
- Beyond that, belgium-atmosphe.re focuses on areas and sectors where it has expertise, for example the Belgian AT Protocol community
- We can also verify accounts of people or organizations we know personally outside these areas
- We are not responsible for what verified accounts do or say, but if we become aware of a verified account being compromised we report it to Eurosky
- No minimum follower number or public profile criteria required

belgium-atmosphe.re is a volunteer collective of AT Protocol enthusiasts who live and work in Belgium. No company, no agenda: just people who want the Belgian corner of the open social web to be a good, trustworthy place to be.
